My Holiday Wish for You Turkey's

So I've been thinking about the blessings I have had in being able to once again fire up my computer and write a silly, meaningful, or review post. Previously I had taken things for granted and of course some things I still will as I am human and seem to have tunnel vision on ocassion. How about yourself?

Anyway it's been a long few months of issues. From medical complications, addictions to grief and dying. Oh yeah and don't let me forget the tornado that took many things from us, including my brothers and sisters homes. All of this happened within a short amount of time and at times seemed almost too much to take.

However as stated above, in taking things for granted I plugged along and somehow was able to make it through it and for now am doing better than I have in quite a few years. Other than the medical issues I have an open-mind and have the ability to turn it over to a God of my understanding. (I did go to the doctor yesterday and he seems optimistic, so that's another blessing)

For now my wish for you is that you have a blessed Holiday Season and your able to spend your time with those you love and surround yourself with Peace and Joy!

Oh Canada, Oh Canada and Calgary Apartments

Oh how I love the thought of visiting Canada. The sites, the sounds and the picturesque countryside. Don't be mistaken though Canada is not only about the great views and wonderful landscapes. I would love to be able to rent a Calgary apartment.

When I was a child or in my early teens I had a cousin named David. I will never forget the many times he continued on about moving to Canada and living. His living consisted of fishing and hunting the countryside and wondering through the beautiful lake areas and eventually calling it home. Yeah that's what he wanted to do, he wanted to homestead a place. He always told me that if we moved to Canada we could claim some land, build on it and make improvements and eventually it would be ours if we did so.

Well I'll never know if that was true or not, yeah I suppose I could google it, but he always made me think it was. What a wonderful idea it seemed though.

Today I may not be as young as I once was but I could still live in Canada or if you happen to live there you could also rent an apartment in Calgary using the above link to help you get there. Control Freak

There are a lot of things you can’t predict or control in life. As a complete control freak, accepting this fact is a never ending struggle for me. You can’t control a fire in your home, and you can’t control whether or not someone will break into your home, for instance. However, it puts my mind at ease that I can control what happens next if either of these terrible things occur. By having a Home Security101 monitoring system, I know that I will be alerted immediately if these things do happen. If I’m at home at the time, the alarm itself will alert me. If I’m at work, traveling, or out with friends, I’ll receive a phone call from my monitoring company to notify me. While I certainly hope I never have to find out that someone has indeed broken into my home, I’d prefer to know sooner rather than later. It took a while to convince my husband that we needed to invest in the alarm, as he’s a total penny pincher, but now that we have it he’s as convinced as I am that the peace of mind is completely worth it!

Jack's Back and Excited About it Too!

Just a quick note to let everyone who has been faithful in noticing or looking at my blog that I am back in business after some time off due to some major medical problems and so forth. (and the ones who have always been there for me you know I thank you and I appreciate your patience with all that's happened to me since you've last heard from me.)

I hope to be able to stick around for quite a while again but if you don't hear from me or see a lapse in my posts it is because of continuing medical issues. For now, all is well!

I have certainly missed blogging and am excited to be back online with the opportunity to once again update this blog and continue with reviews etc. It is an outlet for me and I look forward each day I am able to get on here and say something even if it doesn't make sense to you. :)
