Survivor Episode 7: What comes around, goes around

This season of Survivor so far has yet to cut it for me. I mean how often during past seasons we talked about the upcoming episodes each week with much anticipation wondering who would crush who verbally, who would outwit Russell in finding the idol and so on. It might just change this week and become the Survivor as we know it. Will Marty give up his idol? Does Jane's selfishness cause her torch to be put out? And what about NaOnka the gal who is quickly becoming the fan favorite if only because she is the soul person carrying the show for now. Tune in to SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA, Wednesday, Oct. 27 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) to catch the latest.

"Next thing you know your gonna be walking away and your torch is put out". Now who on this seasons show would have said that? Not only said it but said it with some authority! You go NaOnka. I have to say that NaOnka is quickly becoming one of my favorites this season. I can see how she quickly became one of the most disliked tipping the scales on both sides, a hero and a villain. Ok so maybe the complete villainess is more like it. Then again eve the villain lovers have a hero.

This season may be missing the likes of Russell Hantz and his ease of finding idols, his control of the women or his cockiness in general. But one only has to wonder how he could have handled NaOnka or what she would have done to him. Possibly he would have been walking away with his torch put out. One can only wonder.

na onka

Wanna see a clip from cbs.com and the pool they had planned on using earlier in the show but due to the shortage of aqua they saved it until this weeks episode. The Challenge titled 'Jump Shot' is a simple enough game though it's clearly not an 'old' man's challenge. I'd be willing to bet that Dan didn't make it.

I have a feeling that this will be the most exciting episode of the season thus far.

Elimination or NEL? Episode 5 Amazing Race

Catching up on some of the amazing race, well actually I'm looking in to see where the father and daughter team Gary and Mallory are. So far they seem to be faring pretty well. For a team that at first glance I thought wow, they will never make it very far, not these two. Now it appears they really could be the team to beat.

gary and mallory
Gary and Mallory Ervin

Yes there are some who are stronger, perhaps a little wiser but at this point I don't think there are any other teams who have the over all happy medium it takes to win like these two do.  Though I could be a little biased as I been called this in a few blog comments recently.

While searching for a few spoilers across the Web it seems that most predictions based on photographic sightings from different stages in the upcoming legs, it seems that "Katie & Rachel" could be the next to go. That is unless this is a NEL or Non-Elimination Leg of the race.

Who's your favorite team so far? Who do you want to see go next and why? Please feel free to join in the conversation by commenting and or sending to your facebook friends and tweeting them.

You've Been Eliminated ~ Poker Tourney woo hoo woot woot!

Until the next time don't gamble with the losers unless you want to lose. Don't join any alliances you aren't in control of and for damn sure, if your going to the celebrity poker tourney, go to have fun not because you want to donate. Lest your donations end up in the wrong pockets. (Isn't there people showing up there as celebs who have court dates and or trials coming up that are showing up for the police officers?) I know innocent until proven guilty right? Just saying.

pp

Over the course of the past few months it's been quite the ride for ole Lee's Shizzle.

Reality vs. Insanity

When I changed the niche of this blog or better yet finally after nearly a year decided to give it a niche instead of just a lot of miscellaneous mumbo jumbo I never dreamed it would begin to have the impact that it does on my daily life. I begin to ask myself, "what took you so long", in other words being such a fan of reality TV why hadn't I written more about it.

Actually it's a whole lot more than writing for me, it goes beyond the aspect of just writing a post and putting up some links, giving props to last nights competitors and contestants of what ever show was on. It's became an obsession of mine to get to know some of the past and present players of the different Reality Shows on a little more up close and personal level. A great majority of you will remain distant and you have your right to your decisions, your privacy and what not, but I'd like to think that if you believe in anything as far as this blog and it's writers are concerned it is that we intend to post only accurate events and want you to believe that you will never be misquoted, have lies told about you or rumors made up to benefit me or the blog. (Only on very few occasions does anyone other than myself post here)

Some will always keep it lively though

Once a competitor always a competitor. Some still take advantage of everyday life and continue to play the game even years after being voted out or having won. Life in general has become an opportunity to build alliances, to stab someone in the back and vote them off or out if you will. The fact of the matter is, is that several are not willing to take a chance, the chance of speaking out or going against the grain, they leave their dirty work up to a member of their alliance, while others always speak their mind and make it worth the watch or in this case the read.

Their behaviors remind me of sibling rivalries.

My goal is and always has been to report the accuracy of events, share the latest happenings from previous nights episodes of certain Realitytv and feed you the latest gossip (damn did I just say the word gossip) as it's passed on to me from unamed and named sources from across the web. From the phone conversations, to latest status updates that I find on facebook, to twitters 140 characters from the so called celeb tweets. And yes occasional gossip that will not be meant to harm or hurt or inflict any pain on anyone be it emotional or otherwise. Sometimes you have to step up and take responsibility for your own actions and not blame others. Sometimes I will have to step up and admit I got it wrong too.

So Far

It also comes with it's threats, insecurities, jealousy, and last but not least the continued competitions on and off the current shows at any given time. I'm here to tell you things have not changed, I fnd the competition is only heating up with dysfunction everywhere. Reality TV is here to stay with more and more reality shows popping up each season. Nearly every last competitor wants to stay in the limelight so to speak and nearly every last contestant calls the other crazy to make themselves feel better. "Oh she's just crazy", or "oh he's just crazy", yet if they looked in the mirror when saying this would they realize they are talking about themself. Or yet, best case scenario is that they are not any different. Hell we are all crazy in our own little way. I'm not perfect yet I am one hell of a competitor. Don't cross me or I'll cross you off. Remember this, but don't be skeeerred either.

I'm also a very forgiving person and I attempt not to lay my head down on the pillow at night while still holding onto a resentment or an apology I may have needed to give out earlier in the day. Yet I still do it. But it has gotten easier to say I'm sorry, to forgive you or better yet to have no guilt for either, because I have the ability to let it go. Sometimes I let it go through the pen, getting rid of my toxic anger and grief through the keyboard. At times it's just taking the opportunity to vent to a close friend who has a very non-judgemental ear and listens as well as provides constructive criticisim.

The song by The Counting Crows, "Mr Jones" fits perfect.

"When I look at the television I wanna see me staring right back at me, we all wanna be big stars, don't know why, don't know how, everybody loves me. I wanna be just about as happy as I can be. Mr. Jones and me, gonna be a big star!"

Just don't forget I still go to bed (when I can get away from these damn blogs and facebook and twitter), get up and put my pants on and tie my shoes just like you. All the while considering myself someone who has been fortunate enough to have their 15 minutes of fame and return to a somewhat normal life while others are thriving in the spotlight and have turned it into a career. Albiet some are struggling at it while others are flourishing, but then again isn't that how it happens on the show on a regular basis? Some win, some lose and some just never find themself and stay lost. Which one are you?

Vegas Bash 2010 Charity Donation Figures are in Sign Here

Wondering, just wondering?? Perhaps I should have stuck to writing about Reality shows such as "The Last American Cowboy," Or 'Swamp People', now thats a good one there. I really do like Swamp People and Troy and Jacob make the show what it is.

I also like watching 'The Last American Cowboy', it hits close to home. I spent several years on a horse and farm as a youngster, but something tells me reaching my arm up a cows puss is just not as exciting as, let's say, having my hands in the pockets of my drunkin friends. Now that's Reality rite der... The following video speaks for itself and was made by EvelAndyDick.

As she said, "you asked for it, you got it" toyota! Here's a ....well I'm not sure what you call it...but in all fairness to both parties I thought I would share with you the letter that 'LiveAtTheStudio' and Niki Congero prepared for you and I. Apparently it's meant to slow down the low-lifes and haters as we are called. An attempt to get us to 'tone it down a notch'. As far as I am concerned this letter from 'LiveAtTheStudio' below really says nothing. It only makes, in my opinion, LATS look even more guilty.

"It should be noted that it was a successful event as far as a party was concerned but not so successful as far as the charities are concerned".

Guess I need to email them and sign a disclosure in order to get the actual figures, but it's just not that important to me. I should not have to jump through hoops to get you to prove yourself. And I know you have to have the disclosure Niki it's the position you've put yourself in with a certain charity. How convenient for you though.

To Whom It May Concern,

LiveAtTheStudio periodically has events that proceeds after expense will be donated to charity. The event known as The Vegas Bash is one such event. While the main purpose is to have an event that provides the opportunity for fans and reality celebrities to get together in Las Vegas for various scheduled activities, it is also a opportunity to raise some money for selected charities.

The Vegas Bash 2009 while a successful event when it comes to everyone having a good time, I unfortunately do to lack of sponsorship it was not successful when it comes to raising money for charity. All though the event ended not, profitable donations totaling $1200.00 were made to charities.

Due to the generosity of Sponsors with both financial and product contributions and the 150 people who purchased tickets (30 were Meet and Greet and 120 were for Main event) to attend, Vegas Bash 2010 was more successful when it came to the charity portion of the event. We would like to thank all involved both sponsors, celebrities and fans.

Approximately $3000.00 was raised via the Beer Pong auctions. Anyone who participated in the beer pong auction is encouraged to email LiveAtTheStudio@clear.net to confirm we have your mailing address so proper receipts can be mailed for you tax deductible donation. Also The Sunday Hog and Heifers event raised an additional $1250.00 which is also being donated to charity.

The main expenses of the event included transportation for 80 of the 100 Reality Celebrities in attendance (whether it been airline, car rental or reimbursement) and for hotel accommodations for all Reality Celebrities invited (approximately 60 rooms).

Should anyone like more detailed information you will need to send an email to LiveAtTheStudio@clear.net A required Non Discloser agreement will need to be signed prior to charity names being released per request of parties involved.

New Post ~ Vegas Bash Nothing but Nice People or Plenty Assholes?

This post is directed at Vtech who commented on the previous post Exclusive Reality TV's Krista Stegall and Her Apology to Fans. Here's what she/he said, "Everyone there was nice including Niki and except for Krista." (paraphrased) I beg to differ Vtech... if this is truly who you are. I don't believe it quite happened that everyone was nice. Even I could find a couple of comments and a video that disputes this. But each to their own. You seen it how you seen it, I mean you said you know what you saw.

So everyone there was nice Vtech? Hmm I beg to differ according to the couple of things I post here and I am sure without a doubt we shall see many comments of others who put up with some very rude behavior and inappropriate language over the weekend. It is Sin City however so who would expect anything less I guess. If you  where treated with respect or believe you were mistreated at the Vegas Bash 2010 please feel free to let us know in the comment section. Here's a couple things below that I found without even looking very hard so I'm sure there is plenty more of both good and bad.

Dale Porter posted this on a Facebook wall

Dale wrote:

"Krista - just read about the Vegas Bash people shorting the charity for 2009 - what about 2010? The organization was a total disaster - they send me incorrect info about each of the events, their 'main' photographer Philip Alan was rude to me and the other pro photographer, and the red carpet host (Mark Long?) was rude to the photographers, rude to the guests, and refused to step out of the way to get allow photos of the stars with the sponsor logos in the background. I've shot everything from the Oscars on down, and I've never seen anyone that rude, arrogant, and unappreciative of the sponsors and guests. And oh yeah -- the organizer, Niki Congero apparently never showed up. Nice." (by Dale Porter)

Parker Delon - BB season #9

The following who felt disrespected and clearly was in my opinion is Parker Delon and here's what he had to say about Michele the 'ugly coyote' from Hog's and Heifer's after she booted him out upon a confrontation that arose because he wanted to drink water during the beer pong tournament instead of beer. WTF?

"First of all I was super uncomfortable from the jump... 2nd, the bitch openly disrespected me in front of everyone by calling me inappropriate names. Yes, me and my partner both wanted to drink water.

"I had already been drinking and had my drink in my hand. and this shows how unprofessional this trick is because as a bar owner, if someone says they don't want to drink, you should respect that. anyone who knows me, already knows that I'm not going to take bullshit off of people. That's NEVER been in my job description." by Parker Delon

Krista Stegall BB Season #2

Several had questioned why Krista was not at the Hog's and Heifer's portion of the event. I had seen several replies in response to this and not certain as to what to believe so I will publish the comments that Krista made and the explanation that she gave. As in my opinion it is the one that according to others is clearly the reason she was not there.

"To all that think I just didn't want to attend, that is totally incorrect! I was uninvited to the event, THANK GOD! Neither I Nor the charity would be apart of that kind of establishment or bar had I known it was vulgar and represented violence and abusive behavior. Never would I have promoted it or even considered going to such a place much less promoted it!" by Krista Stegall

Exclusive ~ Reality TV's Krista Stegall and Her Apology to Loyal Fans and Supporters

(Recent Update Oct. 20th  -- letter removed per request from charity)
(Updated Oct. 14th, 2010 9:00PM)

This pertains to the organizers (Niki Congero from Live at The Studio) of the recent Vegas Bash 2010 and last yrs. 2009 event, the frustration Krista Stegall has experienced from the backlash of speaking out about what she says is the truth.

niki

The letter in the image you are about to read was given to Krista Stegall by Faith House, her charity of choice for most events she attends or participates in. The next textual letter is written by her.

*The letter was removed per request from the charity organization. In good faith and out of respect for the Charity involved the letter was removed as they stated it was no longer valid.*

The letter below is Krista's response in an open letter to you as fans and supporters of Reality events and your generous donations. I find it's pretty self explanatory and heartfelt and has left some hurt feelings on both sides of the issue.

Dear Fans, Supporters and fellow Reality family members and friends,

Last years Vegas Bash 2009 was for a charity that I chose called Faith House. A charity for battered women and children. Having been raised in this type of environment, growing up in this kind of background myself, it is very near and dear to my heart and quite often gets over looked alot of the time. I choose to help out as much as I can. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to have Live At The Studio Choose Faith House as My Charity of Choice. I was so excited and trusted them right away. I took them at their word in regard to everything. I am a trusting person by nature, that's who I am.

An obligation (commitment to donate a portion of the proceeds) to Faith House was made by Niki Congero through faith house's Internet site. Faith house received 2 payments one in February 2010 for $200.00 and another in April 2010 for another $200.00. (for Vegas Bash 2009) Thus being a Grand total of $400.00 dollars! So Imagine my surprise when I got the above letter on October 8th, 2010. It's not the fact that they did or did not receive any proceeds from last years event. The amount is extremely hurtful, I am very saddened by this regardless.

Here's some facts, I raised 5 times that amount of money in one day working with Russell Hantz (Sole Survivor or let's say he should have been) and in Russell Hantz's Establishment along with great volunteers with a very small venue In Lafayette Louisiana this year, pictures are on face book and can be viewed. The Obligation was not met last year To faith House by LIVE AT THE STUDIO. (the obligation to them from the Vegas bash 2009, not the one at Russell's establishment, that one was on the up and up and Faith House was extremely pleased. Thanks Russell). Faith House was happy to get any donations even a dollar, though it was much more than this, every little bit helps.

russ and krita

This years Vegas Bash 2010 agreement was not in writing, yet some other similar events were.

This was suppose to be the agreement for this years event. Every ticket that was sold to the 2 major events $50.00 dollars was to be set aside into a separate account for Faith House. Originally the Sunday event was added later and Niki Congero left me a message stating that only that money (Sunday's event) was going to be given to Faith House and she would handle that between herself and faith house. No one including myself would be made aware of the amount given to the charity. This being the charity of my choice makes this very confusing and disappointing, why would they want to hide or make secret the donation amounts?

In an attempt to clear this up with my loyal fans and supporters as well as my Reality Stars and friends, Faith house informed me before I left to let you guys know that you may call them any of you to verify this. Ask for accounting when and if you do so. As of October 8th they had not heard from NIKI OR LIVE AT THE STUDIO regarding anything to do with the charity proceeds they were told they would be getting. This is truly a misdeed and I can only state the fact's. I can't imagine any reality people or fans of our shows wanting to be associated with any event that is ran by or operated in such a way as 'Live at The Studio". I can only speak for myself. Always know that every attempt will be made to assure that the donations will always reach their destinations and do so in a timely manner.

I myself can not imagine being involved with anything they are promoting or any event they may be having in the future. Reality people help charities, which in turn helps people. We also take time out of our lives to have fun with our fans. These events are very important to us and we won't let no one put a damper on them or discourage us from continuing to put forth the time and effort to bring people together through these events.

Sincerely,
Krista Stegall

Season 7 of Deadliest Catch is set to begin filming next week.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi to Release Romance Novel

by Maria Rainier

Is one medium enough to totally—bodily and intellectually—embarrass oneself? Not for Snooki. The 22-year old MTV “Jersey Shore” star is stepping out of the TV screen into a trashy romance novel near you.

google images

Nicole Polizzi (better known as “Snooki”) recently announced that she will publish the novel “A Shore Thing” in January of next year through Gallery Books, a division of Simon & Schuster. The book is expected to record the life of a “girl looking for love on the boardwalk” via pages upon pages of big hair, big attitudes, and fake tans.

One wonders whereupon she came to the inspiration to write a book, something ordinarily left to intellectuals, scholars, and people who have otherwise accomplished commendable feats. Her latest feat? Beer bonging along Seaside Heights, New Jersey, falling off her bicycle, and subsequently getting arrested. She was sentenced in August to community service. Has she met her muse there, or is this an attempt to rack up viewers for the show’s second season in Miami? (It’s already got 6.5 million and is the highest-rated series telecast by MTV in over eight years. She should probably worry less about publicity and more about dusting off her battered ego.)

Bio: Maria Rainier is a freelance writer and blog junkie. She is currently a resident blogger at First in Education performing research surrounding online universities and their various program offerings. In her spare time, she enjoys square-foot gardening, swimming, and avoiding her laptop.

My Interview with 'Talk Nerdy to Me Lovers' @Jenfriel is gonna be in the Movies?

Thanks Jen for taking the time to allow me to share with my readers what an awesome #nerd you are. Seriously it's been a pleasure. Anyone who is dedicated can go from homeless to soon to be in the movies. That's awesome. Jen I'm jealous you #nerd, Oh and I bet you found plenty of #BJDiet food in those dumpsters or curbs where you parked. nom nom nom!!

This is an interview with @JenFriel. A Totally #Awesome nerd and social media guru, (a real one). I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to share with peeps a little about how she provides social commentary on social media over on 'Talk Nerdy to Me Lover' (p.s. this is not a porn site ya'll but, well for nerds it pretty damn close since there are some hot peeps who work there!) and many other places on the web or where ever her little wings take her. Fly on over and meet some pretty cool nerds over there. #NerdsUnite!!

Reality vs. Insanity, we want you to focus a little.

I didn't know this when reaching out to Jen for the interview but later I seen some of her tweets and you might be as surprised to know that I asked her and it's Nerdy True, a Movie deal is in the works!! woot woot!!! More will be revealed at a later date so stay tuned and watch how the world wide Social Web changes lives. Work hard, Play hard, Get Rewarded.

The questions below are totally random. I want you to get to know her as I do. This is only an outline of her online work, I'm sure there is a lot more to Jen that we will continue to get to know and see by following her online. (No I won't stalk you Jen, pinky promise) She is an online social commentator who has shown us that if you are real, care about your friends you've met online and put in a huge amount of dedication to what you love then you can accomplish it. Take it away Jen.

Me ) Ok I think I read a little bit about you had worked for MySpace (I think it's called? does it still exist? lmbo) if you want to briefly share on what capacity would be fine. I found it very interesting when I read it. I was like wow that's cool.

Jen ) I actually never worked for Myspace. I worked for one of the founders of myspace, Brad Greenspan, and launched his platform LiveVideo. It was an incredible experience and something that enabled me to know how to launch Talk nerdy to me lover.

Me ) I know your blog is coming up on it's one year anniversary. Tell us about it. Is it all you expected it would be? I also see that you always have your iron in the fire so to speak. What's happening at the moment and what's in the works that you'd like to share with us.

Jen ) Yeah i kinda can't believe that we're going to be 1!!! We're going to be throwing a HUGGEEE bash at the Santa Monica Blvd. Halloween Parade, calling it the first annual #NerdHerd. Super stoked!

Is it all I expected it to be? Oh, dude, wayyyy more. I didn't think I would have a movie deal - but then again I also didn't think I would have become homeless in this venture either. Its definitely a give and take.

Me ) I can only imagine that one of many exciting things you have done, and that's the plane ride with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. How cool was that. I was full of envy but of course I'm a small town guy who has met some folks but far and few between the lonesome highways here, 'hey this is not California this is the land of oz here'. What's the most exciting thing you've done other than that.

Jen ) This is going to sound lame, but I literally get SO excited every day to be alive. Celebs are cool, and Billy was just the cat's pajamas - but seriously, the WORLLDDDD is changing because of social media. These are some VERY exciting times we are living in. I'm just grateful I have a front row seat!! Jigga ... jigga ... jigga.

Me ) You recently went 30 days eating only beef jerky or something, without looking back through your tweets and blog what was that Jen and how did that experience go? Where you promoting the item or just having a helluva time or of course both.

Jen ) Beef Jerky. I ate 30 days worth of Beef Jerky with Jed's Jerky. It was awesome. I ran out of product 2 weeks in, so I went 4 days off of it, and then back on for the completion of the experiment. It had less to do with just pimping a product and more to do with the fact that I needed groceries. I knew I could do something weird and wonky, and get some twitter buzz, so I called it the #BJDiet - and the rest was history. =) It was a fun little experiment.

Me ) When I first starting following you online via twitter and then your blog, you were doing something called the Fiesta Movement. What the hell was that and ... well care to elaborate a little for us.

Jen ) Sure, the Fiesta Movement was a 4 month project where Ford gave 20 teams across 16 cities a Ford Fiesta, gas card, macbook pro, flip cam, and camera ... We were instructed to document our adventure in social media, and even got to do some cool missions along the way. We threw a concert at the world famous Roxy, designed clothing for Roxy (no relation) brand clothing, produced a short film, and got to create a bitchin wall mural.

Me ) I see you on twitter, I see your staff on twitter and I find you very enjoyable to follow in the social spotlight. I have to ask and I'll leave twitter out of this but I have a burning desire to ask you, "if you could change one thing about facebook, just one thing, something you don't like or something that you'd like to see added etc.. I have to know what would it be"?

Jen ) Wow, that's a great question. One thing I'd change? Event invites. They are crazy out of control, but other than that ... I'm pretty stoked about Facebook Groups. We had a bunch of the TNTML staff on it last night and it was the first time everyone got to kinda mingle. It was so rad!!!!

Me ) And last but not least. If you had your choice of Reality TV shows that you could participate in, be a contestant on one, which one would you pick. And feel free to lobby one of your own having to do with the whole 'Talk Nerdy to Me Lover' aspect. I just think there is something out there that would surely be a hit regarding your staff, a few other #nerds and of course yourself  'The Ultimate Jen" ... hey now that's a nice name for a Reality TV show.

Jen ) I feel like my life is a reality show. I firmly believe that social media is the new reality TV and a new medium to tell a story. So stoked!!!! Again, greatest time to be alive. I'll leave titles and what not to the uber big wigs ... haha! I just want to keep doing my thing.

Me ) OK I storied I have one more question, What is your favorite Reality TV Show and why.

Jen ) Hands down The Amazing Race. I LOVVVEEEEEEE me some adventures with missions, and travel. Dude - that show rocks!

Yes, the Amazing Race, it does rock Jen. At least I think so. And I forgot to tell you, one of the pairs on this seasons show is from Morganfield, Ky. Gary and Mallory. I grew up just a few miles from Morganfield so it's really neat this year to watch it. So far *fingers crossed* they are still in it. Mallory is the reigning Miss Kentucky and her family are well known throughout the county. I think Mallory should be in your movie, ha she's a little nerdy don't ya think? Sorry Mallory we all love you!

Ok Ok pick me then, pick me I want to be in the Movie. @cadilacjax I can see that name in lights now.

If anyone has anything to add please feel free to comment below. Please Retweet for Jen and let your friends on facebook know how awesome she is. #nerdsunite.
