Is War something that rages in your backyard, in your mind or just in a far off land? In a world filled with sinful people, war is sometimes a necessary thing. It's the only way to keep sinful people from doing harm to the innocent.
I can't imagine, or maybe I can.
I was born in between you might say.
I wasn't old enough to be drafted
Vietnam I am
Young enough to go fight Muslims
or the Taliban.
Wait I take it back
I can fight
I'm old enough
I'm rich enough
I'm young enough
Freaks, geeks, martyrs and suicide men.
The towers fell and they took the blame
9/11 it's all the same
For years and years wars have been fought
Yet us in the neighborhood have not
I'm the little man you might say
Don't fight for me unless
Unless
You Pray
Don't blame God
Your God
or Mine
Keep on Fighting
Killing mankind
We're all the same
when it's all said and done
Judgement will fall
on Everyone
Stop Fighting I beg you
I say
Stop Fighting, Stop Fighting
Killing killing
Is senseless
Drop a Bomb
Nuke'em I say
Goes against the words I wrote
but don't forget it's war
Let us Pray

What's Better $2 Bottle Wine or $2 Bud of Pot
I was recently reading a story on newser.com about an entrepreneur who wants to start his own business so when Cali passes the law legalizing Marijuana then he can sell some cheap pot. "$2 buck of chuck pot."
Thought for the Day...
Jeff Wilcox wants to become pots first great entrepreneur. Jeff I think your light years behind son. Maybe they should say that you want to become the first legal entrepreneur.
For now, Wilcox is filling a niche in the local medical marijuana market. But he sees cut-rate pot—specifically, the 58 pounds a day that could be pumped out of his planned 7-acre site—as a prime mover after the drug is fully legalized.
The story about Chuck is he's a cheap bottle of wine. I've never been fortunate enough to take a swig of chuck but I have tipped a few cheap bottles of wine. Mad Dog 20 20 was the school favorite when I was a youngster along with a few puff puffs. I admit I don't partake in a daily or even occasional toke but I definitely don't knock anyone who does. I think it should be legalized nuff said.
My Big Fat Green Thumb
Personally Mr. Wilcox I would like to be able to grow natures weed legally or illegally but I don't. Too risky and I spend too much time online today to look after it. I do like the idea of the huge profits and if I was a greedy bastard and not scared to get caught, oh believe me I would plant me some herb. So until it becomes legal to grow I will keep my growing recipe under lock and key and my ass outta the garden.
My question's are:

Going Against the Grain
"Going against the grain may result in a few splinters, and it may rub a few people the wrong way, but going with it is like forcing your TRUE self to walk the plank!" (unknown but wasn't me)
Thought for the Day...
Wow no wonder my ass hurts sometimes! I am assuming it's the splinters I've gotten over the years from not being a follower. I may not be a leader but I'm not a follower either, I prefer to walk beside you. Sometimes we all need a hand.
Reach back... I will if your reaching out and I'll grab ahold and gently pull you forward. I'll also reach down if you fall and lift you up.
Dad used to say, "get up son and brush it off, it'll feel better when it quits hurting." Duh! I used to think. Oh really it will huh? Of course it always did though. I use to fall down alot but it helped me to learn that a few splinters, and rubbing peeps the wrong way usually doesn't hurt as bad as I feared. It's called Going Against the Grain. Being you is important.

If your Creative and if you Facebook then you can ampm a secret menu item
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of ampm. All opinions are 100% mine.
Seriously though you don't need to be a cook to create this secret menu item at ampm. All you do need is to have a desire to eat and be creative in doing so. It would be helpful if you do have to have a facebook account though. I challenge you to go there via here secret menu tab and create your very own secret menu item.
While your there leave a comment letting others know what your secret menu item is so that they will know why and who knows yours might become a hit. Keep an eye out for new hot secret items coming out 7/26, 8/2, 8/9, 8/16, 8/30. And if you really want to get creative and show off your stuff, on August 2nd you can put together your own concoction right there on facebook so that others can see what it is you put together.
Personally I like the towering inferno. If you go to their facebook page by clicking on the secret menu tab link above you will see why I like it. It's a tower alright, full of burgers, cheese and jalapenos amongst other great ingredients. I love'em and if you can eat the whole thing you'll definitely need an ice cold coke to chase some of it down with. It is huge! And don't forget the napkins as the recipe for it says.
So what's your favorite? Go check it out, create one and come back and tell us about it via the comment section here and if you retweet the post here please consider using the hashtags #secretmenu #ampm thanks. I had fun but I also hit the like button on facebook so I can follow along and see what others are saying and look forward to August 2nd when others are able to concoct some recipes right on facebook.

Salute to Grandpa Who Paved the Way
GRANDPA PAVED THE WAY
Coon dogs, shotguns
Beagles and cracklin's
Hound dogs too
Redeye gravy
From country ham
Biscuits
Even cornbread will do
Fried mostly
Sunday was chicken
Fried mostly
And dum dums he brought
The dumplins he dropped
The houndogs are yelping
Follow me
The beagles are chasing
Follow me
They will help us
Find our way
Stay on the path
Don't go astray
Mamma's hand
Daddy's boot
Grandma's love
Grandpa's roots
Grandpa paved the way
I miss you Grandpa
I'll see again... someday

Attention the War Still Rages Our Soldiers Are Dying for You Fuker
ATTENTION!
To ALL those whining, panty-waisted, pathetic Citizens, it's time for a little refresher course on exactly why we Americans occasionally have to fight wars to keep this nation great.
See if you can tear yourself away from your"reality" TV and Starbucks for a minute, pull your head out of your ass -- and LISTEN UP!!
Abu Ghraib is not "torture" or an "atrocity."
Got that ?
THIS IS an atrocity!
So Was This!!!
WHICH PART DON'T YOU GET?
Islam Extemists are peaceful people?
My Ass!
Millions of these warped misled sons-of-bitches are plotting, as we speak, to destroy our country and our way of life any way they can.
Some of them hold high political positions now.
They don't want to convert you and don't want to rule you. They believe you are a vile infestation of Allah's paradise. They don't give a shit how "progressive" you are, how peace-loving you are, or how much you sympathize with their cause.
They want your ass dead, and they think it is God's will for them to do it.
Some think if we give them a hug or listen to them, then they'll like us, and if you agree -
Then you are a pathetic dumb ass!
If they manage to get their hands on a nuke, chemical agents, or even some anthrax -- you will wish to God we had hunted them down and killed THEM while we had the chance.
How many more Americans must be beheaded?
You've fallen asleep AGAIN - get your head out of your ass!
You may never get another chance!
NOW GET OFF YOUR SORRY ASS
and pass this on to any and every person you give a damn about - if you ever gave a damn about anything!
DISMISSED!

Reach down inside there and grab it with all you got
Be like a chef who pleases 99% of the people that he/she cooks for. Cook it as yourself first. If you like the way it turns out for instance, if it taste good, has the most tantalizing flavor, excites you, fills you up leaving you with wanting to come back for more, then it's from the soul. If it pleases you then it'll probably please those 99% of people who come into your kitchen.
A Good Blogger Blogs from the Soul
Many bloggers fall into a trap of blogging first for others and not from the soul. Some succeed yet most fail and even give up before the reward. Blogging about making money blogging, business and marketing, social media, ebooks, videos and viral shiz it's great stuff if it's from the soul. If it lacks the flavor necessary to get a tip or return visit, if it's not aromatic, it's not from the soul. And it causes you to give up.
How Do You Blog
I agree we do blog for others but if I don't first blog as myself then I'd be one of the ones I've been reading about lately who are struggling. Are you ready to throw in the towel or are you blogging from the soul? Blog as yourself. (thanks Karen) A Good Blogger Blogs From the Soul.

Conspiracy for Good ~ Call it Social Benefit Storytelling
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of goviral. All opinions are 100% mine.
Welcome to the ride of your life…
I really know no other way way to start this post than saying 'welcome to the ride of your life'. I have to admit I am always hesitant in doing a sponsored post on this blog. I have other blogs I enjoy making room on for sponsored post and am more than happy to find one that fits those sites occasionally. In fact I welcome them. After all who doesn't like to make a few coins for doing something they love and have fun with, let alone get paid for it occasionally. Me, me...pick me..!
However I thought this was a little intriguing. In fact it's left me with some skepticism as the the nature of it and whether it's even fiction or not. It has gone somewhat viral and caught interest in social media and readers thereof who want to so call 'change the world'. And of course with my interest in peace on earth I would certainly welcome some site, some small part of change in helping to make this happen. Feed the hungry, save the children, look out for the elderly, stop the violence...yada yada yada...
Tim Kring is the man behind the scenes. Tim is the creator of the hit series 'Heroes'. Don't ask me what that is because I have never watched. Sorry Tim. From some of the research I did for this post, peeps are saying that his mission is to bring down Blackwell Briggs. But who is BB? Some say it doesn't even exist, while they do have a site and proclaim to be a leader in such and such the site was only created in March of this year while others say Blackwell Briggs has been around so long it has the recipe for dirt. Ok not really that quite that LONG but they've been around and Tim wants to bring them to the attention of others using the Conspiracy for Good.
A few years ago Tim had a brain fart if you will, an idea of coming up with a way to tell a story other than traditional TV. Don't be mistaken, it is nothing other than fiction. Their site, your site, his site will tell you straight up that there is no need to try to hack it, decode, find the source code or hidden messages, it's fiction. But who knows you could become a part of it and your story might just get told. I say Welcome to the Conspiracy and the ride of your life. If you decide to join and participate, it's free no purchase required in doing so.
The following video is of Tim Kring and he'll explain this a little better than I can perhaps so I'll let him. But you will have to watch the video and visit his site, better known as your site, in order to get a much better understanding of what the Conspiracy for Good is all about. He calls it Social Benefit Storytelling. Just watch and listen.

Conquering Your Fears Blocking You From that Happy Place
"Have you ever felt compelled to make a radical change in your life? What happened?"
The above two questions really got me to thinking this morning as I stopped in over on bloggerluv.com. I clicked on the blogs tab and came across a post, "it's ok I will go first." You should go check it out. And if your new to bloggerluv, haven't heard of it then you should join. I've had the pleasure of meeting a really great group of bloggers from there. People who share their experience strength and hope with each other in order to help each other gain from our offline as well as our online adventures. It's more than just another site filled with peeps who are all about themselves. It's a diverse group of bloggers from newbies to old timers who without reservations are willing to help. Sure there might be a couple who have joined who are all about themselves as with any social site, but overall my experience has been nothing but prosperous in more ways than one.
The main attraction for me is the honesty that's displayed amongst our members. And I say ours because if you are a member the site is part of yours and you should make it a reflection of you. Anyone can join regardless of what type of site you run or promote. It's so cheap it's FREE. Yes I said it's FREE. It cost nothing to join and best of all if you navigate around there is alot of ways to get promoted without even asking. On the flip side, if you do have a post, a giveaway, a contest or whatever don't be afraid to reach out to the members by putting up your links and asking for a nudge with tweets and stumbles etc... People there are willing to help.
That brings me back to the two questions.
I was taught, "when the pain of staying the same becomes greater than that of making a change then I will change." I've also learned since then that by taking healthy risks, conquering my fears thereof that ultimately the outcome was spirit filled. I usually couldn't express the joy in any other way than to say it was somewhat spiritual. When people asked, "what happened," I used to say, "It's unexplainable." Yet it is explainable. It's simple just not easy. I made the necessary changes that were keeping me from living my life as I want and began to live it without reservations.
In order to not stretch this post out too long I will have a follow-up post soon regarding some of the changes I've made and the outcomes. In the meantime I also have some older post you might like to read.

Listing of Things I don't Want gets me what I want
Sometimes it's easy to know what we want. Sometimes it's simple and foreseeable as well as reachable. Sometimes it's like the difference between the stars and the moon. Far Far away.......
I may not always know what I want. I can remember a time in my life when I was starting over, beginning anew. I had left everything behind. Everything that I had ever known to be me, that of me, that for me, and that vicious cycle of despair that I called living. Sounds a little unknown to you I'm sure, at least if you haven't taken very many risk in life. Following that what others wanted me to do instead of what I want to do is giving up control, letting others control me.
No I didn't know this, I didn't just pull it outta my ass or the air if you will, I had a mentor who helped me, someone who had kindness, understanding and unconditional love and a whole lot of patience. For I wasn't an easy student so to speak. Though I was very open-minded and willing, I still had some fears. Realistic ones at that. I mean if someones telling me to divorce myself from my family in order to succeed automatically I put up a block. My family is all I know. We are close, no family could be closer. Period!
Then came the word dysfunction. Hellooooo! Not us, not me. "I will never divorce myself from my family, no matter what you say." It's just not happening.
"Well son your going to fail," he says.
And how is that may I ask? "You say you don't know what you want outta life,"
I said, "well I do want to be happy."
"What is happy?" he says.
For me happiness is waking up each day knowing that I have a purpose. That I am needed. Happiness is doing what I want without reservations. Regardless of what my family, friends or neighbors may think or the path they think I should follow, I'm doing what's right for me. That's what makes me happy.
I may not always know what I want, but I do know some things that I DON'T WANT, and that's to be unhappy.
Not sometimes, not once in a while, we always know the things we don't want but we don't always know what we want. So start with what you don't want and avoid the paths that take you there.

What's the Dry Season of Your Life and how does it affect you
I spent some time on the phone with a great friend of mine, someone I am beginning to trust for not only simple blogging suggestions but with someone I think that will become a lifelong friend. Have you ever made any of those online? No I mean really true and blue friendships.
That's not what this post is about though. It's the conversation that ensued that brought it about. After some discussion regarding the ups and downs of life, how we deal with them, when to take things serious and when to lighten up was more of the meat of the discussion.
I for one tend to take things too serious most of the time, have been this way most of my life. When watching the tube or reading a favorite book you can bet it's something realistic if not only true. Biography's, Nature and environment, Animal Planet, Discovery, History and Travel Channels are pretty much where it stays. I will stray into some of the reality shows and yes one or two I won't miss.
Did I say WON'T miss. And you can add the NFL and College Basketball seasons in there too. So I'm a season watcher you might say. I sure do hate it when it's the dry season too. This time of the year is the dry season as far as I am concerned, but it will be poppin soon when football starts up.
I think it's safe to say that we all have ups and downs in life. It's important to recognize this as not only part of life but a significant part. If everyday was a grand ole bed of roses then how could we learn to appreciate them. Down days are a time to reflect, a time of gaining inspiration from those reflections and appreciate them with just as much importance as the so called happy times.
Many times I have looked back and realized that those so called moments of lack of inspiration, direction, and dry seasons of my life were just what I needed to take the next right step. If everything flowed as I'd like, I wouldn't like that either. Sometimes I just have to let the Holy Spirit Guide me. I didn't ask for that call today, but it came and it sure did help. Thanks friend, thanks... I think I'll make it through the dry season now.

Why You Should Be Gearing Your Post for Quick Reads (i.e. Status/tweet updates)
First of all this is an opinion of one of many from someone who knows so little about so much. There I said it for ya.
My question is should you be thinking about your blog post as a status update so to speak?
Let's take a small look at Google, Twitter, Yahoo, and Facebook.
I say begin to gear your post for a much quicker read. Status updates are becoming ever so popular and highly significant. Likes are the new links in terms of facebook. The more you get others to Retweet your status messages the more likely someone will see your brand, product or pop in and visit your site. The same goes with getting folks on Facebook to like up your status.
So my next question is should you be thinking more along the lines of keywords and links or more along the lines of a tweets and likes? Currently Google is still number one but I say get into the game early because Twitter and Facebook are giving Google a run for their money. Both are viable traffic sources that's for sure.
What do you think? Let's hear your two cents worth. No comment, well then retweet or send to your facebook friends and don't forget about #bloggerluv it's coming in at a close 5th. LOL

Let's take a small look at Google, Twitter, Yahoo, and Facebook.
- Google: Still has the rope around your cajones as being the #1 search engine with 88billion searches per month. That's across all properties, links, pages etc. How they do it will always remain a mystery for the littlest of little to some of the biggest of biggest. There are some definites such as Page Rank that is taken into effect. Keywords, content, etc.. etc.. as stated above I don't pretend to know much.
- Twitter: Twitter has taken over the role of number two in two short years. We are talking search here people not rank, ok so don't get into a hissy. Yes facebook outranks twitter but not for search. More and more twitter is becoming so highly popular for status updates that peeps who don't even use it still monitor there business status and, hey everyone wants to know what's being said so they go to twitter. With 19 billion searches per month I'd say google better pay attention.
- Yahoo: Yahoo is still a viable search engine with 9+ billion searches a month. I used to use yahoo as the only place I searched for anything. Not anymore.
- Facebook: Facebook, well I'm not sure where facbook fits in here. We can't forget about Youtube, Myspace, MSN and Linkedin either. But it appears facebook is number 4 and some say the biggest threat to Google.

Team Edward or Team Jacob How bout Team #bloggerluv or Blogcatalog
Nothing new here with the team Edward or team Jacob. Everyone who watches already made their picks huh? Everyone who has read the books or seen the movies has to choose. You are either on Team Edward or Team Jacob.
"You could say most are a bit addicted and all searching for their very own personal 'edward' …..and yes, in the most pathetic way possible ha!"
In case I haven't told ya, I'm not on either team, I'm team Russell. You know the villain from survivor. I don't do twilight's unless, unless your real and the moon is full and not eclipsing. (is that a word or am I a nerd) No I'm a Survivor!
Jealous Yet?
Rosalie said “What is she to me? Except a menace – a danger you’ve chosen to inflict on all of us”. I think Rosalie is jealous. Some say she doesn't like Bells and is mean but others say she's just jealous and likes Bella's tenacity. I'm not saying she is an Angel, she isn't, she makes mistakes that's why I like her better than Bella myself. Have you never made a mistake?
I also don't do Blogcatalog
I made a mistake. Sorry for the comparison boi but It's either team #bloggerluv or blogcatalog from here on out for me. And I am a survivor and don't see myself surviving on Blogcatalog.
When I first started blogging I joined blogcatalog and thought 'wow this is cool' then I got so many emails about how if you follow me, visit my blog I'll visit yours and so on. Now I can't blame this on the owners of blogcatalog. At least I think not. Who knows what sort of peeps your going to get to join your team. Some bloggers are only looking for a visit and some are wanting to do the damn thing. If you pay attention to your members then I'd like to think that you know that some aren't doing the damn thing so to speak.
Some Day Maybe Today
Some day I want to look back just like Bella does with Jacob and say Bloggerluv is my best friend. An old friend who is not just a werewolf.
Bloggerluv is the better choice because we have more respect for you and are more thoughtful. Blogcatalog seems to make all the wrong choices under the guise of trying to promote you. You stay with them despite all that. It shows how much love you really have for your fellow blogger, and it also shows how low your standards are. Sorry but team Edward and team blogcatalog is the wrong choice.
Won't you join us at Bloggerluv.
Don't fall into the the trap of promoting peeps who want to suck the life outta ya. Now it's time to help others before they fall into the same trap. Trust me on this. So many good people, not just another blogger, but good people on Bloggerluv and this community.
Enter at your own risk...Just kidding. Go there and surf around, ask and I promise someone will help you find your way and you don't have to ask them to visit your blog, they will.
Need help with your blogs design? Help with some widget, button, retweet shizzle...someone will answer you back and they won't say, 'hey visit my blog, follow me first' type of shiz.
I could go on and on but go give it a go and check it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed that's fo shizzle.... Man the weather is so breezy, why can't life always be this easy.
Peace
Lee
Oh and your welcome. That's what it's all about, LUV!
