You Should Know What Bloggers | Publishers | Advertisers Seek in Affiliate Networks

Update below, WIN THAT T-SHIRT BLOGGER

Your Chance For a Voice and Opinion
Before joining some ole affiliate network it's extremely important to seek out the reasons why you might do so for any particular one. For instance are you looking for something that provides your blog with opportunities to make some money or are you just simply joining because it's there and others are doing it. Sounds absurd huh? Well there are those who do just that and they give a go at it and usually end up taking the coins away from others. Shame on them and the advertisers and affiliate networks who get away with it too!

Bare with me I'm getting there

As long as there are Free hosting sites like Blogger  (and obviously I'm not knocking Blogger, most all my blogs are hosted here) there will be peeps who take the bang out of the buck so to speak by flooding the networks with their blogs and take a measly task and promote an advertiser for $0.50 or $2.00 link. Don't believe me take a look at Sponsored Reviews or Payperpost sites or better yet join and see the offers you get or the ones that are available.

You Should Know It's Frustrating

As a member of a handful of affiliate programs I sometimes find it frustrating with the lack of opportunities that come my way at times. Oh sure I could flood some of my blogs with $2.00 opps or 0.50 links that's Fo Shizzle, but I don't. I know for myself there are alot of reasons for this. First of all this blog sees very little post articles that are paid and I like it that way. I don't prefer to use Lee's Shizzle as my income making site, though it does generate a very small income monthly. Enough to pay for my time at play here though I would and will continue to write off the beaten path posts regardless whether I make $100 or 0.01 cent a month here. I call this site my baby. Although it's not in diapers anymore and may be only crawling it's mine, it's me and I love it. To me 'It's the Best Damn Blog in the World' (even if the Trophy isn't real Suzanne :-) )

I do have other blogs and with the software I have I am attempting to diddle at site building. Sites that are mainly one page with affiliate links, mostly adsense that I will play around with in order to continue to learn some of the best approaches that work for me, not necessarily you or anyone else. Better said, "my way might work for you but I'm doing it for me." I have no problem sharing with anyone some of the ways but for now there's really not much to share. Everything I could tell you, unless your new or been under a rock, then you've already heard.

The Real Question Is

As a blogger, advertiser and or publisher what are you looking for in affiliate program networks that would make you join? I will list some of my main attractions but I really need your input here peeps. If I've ever written a post asking for input none match my concerns with this. I think we could help each other as well as networks who provide us with opportunities and advertisers who spring the buck. We are not entitled to this option, they are not entitled to our publicity from our blogs. It's not about entitlement it's about coming together and helping each other better understand what our needs are.
  • Communication
  • Tasks/Opps/Jobs
  • Prompt Payments
  • Payment Option (i.e. paypal, check etc..)
  • Support
  • Reasonable minimums/payouts
  • Ease of Navigation
  • Free Shit..Ok wishful thinking
Ok so it's your turn to chime in

Leave a comment and let us know what it is that you need from Network affiliates in order for you to join and become a member of a happy and prosperous (hopefully longterm) relationship. Looking at the ones I listed, I have to say that in all honesty communication with their support staff is and will remain at the top for me. Some networks I am a member of definitely do not communicate well with their members and they lose my business and promotional opportunities. I know they are busy, anyone who is making their living online is more than likely very busy. It takes a busy body to promote, be transparent and communicate well with others. If your not willing to do that then your probably not going to succeed with little ole million dollar affiliate networks.

If you found this post helpful, insightful or full of Shizzle too, then Retweet and send to your facebook friends and if you'd like to step in some more Shizzle then follow me through the RSS Feed. But most of all please comment there is no wrong answer!
