One thing that I find healthy is setting goals of the things that I'd like to learn. When I was a kid I remember hearing that all too famous question, "what do you want to be when you grow up?" I'm not sure what I said back then do you? I probably said something in the neighborhood of "I want to be basketball coach or football coach". I definitely don't remember thinking anything about wanting to
learn piano chords. Although I was always curious about music, mainly the guitar. Or being the lead singer in a Rock Band. Yeah that was it. That's what I really wanted to be the next Sammy Hagar or Eddie Van Halen.
It's never too late to accomplish the things you want to learn such as
playing piano chords or even the guitar is it? What about learning to speak Spanish or writing a novel? Well here's a short list of things I'd like to do before I grow up. That is if I ever do decide to grow up.
- Learn to speak Spanish
- Write a novel or (finish the one I started)
- Learn to Play Piano Chords
- Visit other countries
- Get back to the farm
This may seem like a generic list to some but in all actuality these are some very important things I'd like to accomplish. The book and getting back to the farm life is the most desirable things I have in mind. It's like my spirit cries out sometimes for the smell of cattle, hogs, horses and hay. I've always liked the Ohio River so it would have to be someplace close to there or another huge body of water. But that's another post at another time
So what about you. Do you have any things that you have a need or desire to accomplish? Or better yet share with me some of the things that you have accomplished from goals you've set. Doesn't have to be a huge out of this world type of thing, just something that was important to you and you did it.
