How's Your Blog? Compost or debris of Dust...full of Dung

What is Compost
The basic concepts of composting are simple. Almost any organic material will eventually decay, or compost. This process can take a long time. By completing a few simple steps, composting can be done in a much shorter time frame. In addition to speeding up the process, working to create mature compost allows the resulting compost to be much healthier than if it was left to happen naturally. There are advantages
and disadvantages to these processes, and it is up to an individual to consider what works best for their lifestyle and the space they have to compost in. To start composting, the organic material will be placed into the composting pile.(blog design) It is best if it is in small pieces.(don't clutter) This organic material is often referred to as the "green". Decomposed organic material that is produced when bacteria in soil break down garbage and biodegradable trash, making organic fertilizer (content). Next, a layer of "dry" material will be added on top. Dry leaves, newspaper, hay, bark, or wood chips all work great for dry material. (keywords, links, comments, honesty and socialization)

How's Your Blog
I hope you can get something out of this are far as your blogging is concerned. First of all there are many types of compost. There are many types of blogs. You must remember though it starts out 'green' and takes a lot of maintenance. Maybe add some water and do a little turning. You can tell the process is working if heat is coming off the pile. Just as with your blog, you can tell if it's composting by the traffic and comments or if it's a money blog by the coins it produces. Once the pile reaches maturing the process is complete. Your humus is ready to be added to your garden or soil. The fertilizer is ready for spreading.

Turn it into More than a Pile
Some will read this and say how can a blogger who's been typing away for only a few months have heat coming off his blog. How the hell can the humus be mature enough to spread. Don't know or pretend to have all the answers to your questions, but I do know that I've visited plenty of so called 'money making blogs', or professed 'probloggers only to find that their pile of compost is just this. A pile of shit. They have a lot of heat coming off, spread a huge amount of manure but don't rely on the basic concepts, and really tell you nothing. In fact most want something. They tell you they make 6 figures a month or year, then in the next paragraph tell you, you can't make money blogging. WTF, sounds superficial to me! Helllllloooooo...something smells.

Blogging 101
Provide organic content, be yourself don't spend all your time researching how to be what they proclaim to be or have done. Today times are changing, not only in the industry of blogging but in the differences in social media as well. There is an ole saying, 'nothing changes, if nothing changes'. There is advantages as well as disadvantages to each of their processes. Doesn't mean you can't or won't benefit from the pioneers, I have but it's up to an individual to consider what works best for their lifestyle with a blog. When I say Blogging 101 I refer to these four basic concepts. Use them and your blog will produce a compost that spreads.
  • Truth telling
  • Create useful content
  • Be Yourself
  • Help Others
Of course many other things factor in but some of these do not apply to you or your way of blogging. For example, I say don't spend all your time researching how to be what your not. I do think it's extremely important to visit other blogs but I would encourage you to make your visits to the ones in your Niche . Create useful content: The best way to build traffic and community is to create good, useful content. Don't believe me then check out what this guy has done with his blog. Go over to The traffic guys site  and see some of the achievements he's made. Read some of the comments. You'll see where he's following the last two basic principles. Helping others while being himself. Once readers realize they can rely on you to offer solid advice, they’ll be back for more. Plus, the more pages you write, the more pages that are indexed into the search engines. You don't need to much else really. So what are you waiting on? Your compost is ready.
