The Kennedy Name The One That Mattered Most
With the death of Senator Edward Kennedy came an admiration of mixed thoughts for me.
First of all I was saddened for his family, for his loved ones and for the people who would still benefit from his presence in the political arena.
And then I began to ponder the idea of his legacy in the later by the former. His name, Kennedy has been in the growth of our nation as much or more so than any other name, at least in my generation it has. So I thought could this man have or would he have accomplished his achievments without the name? Some would say that he would have while others would say that his controversies in his early days before the grey hair, before the loss of so many close loved ones, that his ambitions could not have held so strong. I say that even though his every move was challenged just like every other Kennedy in the media, he would have accomplished his goals. That was who he was. Not because of his name but because of America. Because of Freedom. Yes he angered many, disappointed his share, and at the same time made others achievers. Having opposed the war in Iraq with a vote to not go there, calling it the most important vote he has ever made while serving in the Senate didn't come without controversy. Yet he still did what he thought was the most important for us as a nation in doing so. And whether I agree with it or not has no baring on what I think of him as a person. He has also been one of the few if not the only one who has fought for so many years for health care reform in such an aggressive manner. Yet did he not have the best health care services from the best doctors while he waged his own battle with brain cancer?
Having been one of only four brothers to die of natural causes he has been hailed as the one who mattered the most. I can only imagine having to bury so many close loved ones and still remain and endure with the faith that Mr. Kennedy had. Saying that he was ready to go and be with those who died before him gave some of his close loved ones that remain peace. I say to his family and to all those who will greatly miss him may God give you the strength to walk through the dense forest, give you peace and comfort when you need it the most to continue to achieve your goals no matter what's going on around you, in the same manner that He gave it to Senator Mr. Edward Kennedy.
Yes the Kennedy name is controversial. The Kennedy name has it's legacy. But Mr. Edward will always be the only one that mattered to most.

H1N1 Outbreak Takes Place at some Colleges
Continued reports of outbreaks occurring in some colleges just as schools begin to fill up. Most notably the campus at the University of Kansas has reported more than 100 cases of H1N1 flu virus. Kansas State another major college in Kansas has reported at least 11 cases. Universities have been warned that the flu would hit early and spread quickly. There have also been some reports that the Miami Dolphins football team has been dealing with a minimal of cases amongst their players.

No No No Reservations Montana Style

Join Anthony Bourdain in The Big Sky country. Tonight's episode takes him to Montana where he spends time with an artist, a taxidermist, goes fly fishing and wants to know if any of you have ever tried mountain oysters or even know what they are? I love this show. Catch it on the Travel Channel @ 10:00pm est. Also visit there website if you want to see some other pictures from tonight's show. Alot of Governor's Not Just U Patterson!

We have a winner folks for some brainheaded low blow comments of the month! And that winner is Governor David Patterson of New York. The accidental one. You know the one who was constitutionally mandated that position because his predecessor was engaging in some low blows himself with some hooker. Patterson is reaching for the long straw and appears to be using racism as the hand holding it. Even saying that President Obama will be the next target of the media. He claims that the media is controlling politics and that the people are getting nervous with minorities in power, especially when there is more than one. Claiming that he has been quiet for 17 months and that he has had to work twice as hard as others do, it is now time for him to speak out. "It came to a head", he said. Wait I thought that's what Spitzer said!
I just want to say, "Governor just because your black doesn't make you a lone minority. Many, many minorities are struggling right now and for that matter so are a lot of Governors who are not minority." Life is a struggle most of the time. And right now times are tough. Our cars are considered 'clunkers' and we should buy new ones. Unemployment is at nearly an all time high, businesses are shutting down, ghost towns are popping up, suicide is increasing, people are turning to drugs/alcohol, children are going hungry, and all this is occurring to white, black, Asian, Hispanic and cats and dogs. So don't play the race card to benefit your selfish desires. You haven't lost anything yet and your only making it harder on yourself to reach and further your goals. People elected Obama not because of his skin color, we didn't care whether He is black or white. We want to believe He can and will make a difference and pull us out of this war were in. Not only in other countries but the war we fight here in America everyday to survive. People want you to succeed, they truly want those in charge of our nation to help us all succeed. Stop making excuses and strive forward. Your not the only one with a disability. Your not the only one who has different skin color. Though you are one of the few of us who has been given an opportunity to help make changes, don't lose that with comments that remain and keep things the same.
Glitter Glove Worn On TV in 1983 MoTown Moonwalk Showcase

It's easy as A B C-- one, two, three!
Got a cool $20,000,000.00? Maybe even just a little less, like $10,000,000.00? Well then you can go to Ebay and purchase a pair of Michael Jackson's Autographed moonwalk shoes worn in his Billie Jean performance. Or for the lesser amount buy yourself an Autographed vinyl LP. Wow! I did a search on their site and came up with about 38,000 items available from gloves, hats, coins and even a T-shirt that you could purchase for only a penny and get free shipping. How's that for a moonwalk in the park?
And don't overlook, "therealkingofpop.com" domain you can have for only $19.99. NO, NO, NO! Sorry typo, Cause it's for $3,000,000.00.
I do want you to know that the headline of this story begins with the Glittery Glove that is up for auction and NOT ON EBAY. Go to google do a search for and you should find it being auctioned by Julien's Auction's who's calling it the Holy Grail of Michael Jackson's Memorabilia. Possibly to end up in the six figure range to some lucky buyer.
Infamous Reality TV actor found dead
The man who police say murdered his wife after checking into a San Diego hotel together on Aug.13th, was found dead around 5:00pm Sunday afternoon in a secluded motel in Canada. The Royal Canadian Police made a statement claiming that it was an apparent suicide. That Ryan Jenkins was found hanging. He had not been seen since he left alone from the hotel in San Diego. A warrant was issued for his arrest on Aug.20th after his wife's body was found dismembered in a suitcase inside a dumpster in California.

Social Security Scare-It's an Outrage

Lately I've been ready in the news and headlines how the Rich are getting Poorer. After so many years the common phrase has always been, especially during election times, that "The Rich is Getting Richer and the Poor is getting Poorer." And I am sure we will still coin the phrase for years to come. As the poor has always felt slighted. Growing up I always wondered how the big man could so slight the least without even giving it much more than a turned up nose. I know I've heard it said, "oh they need to work harder, I've worked hard to get where I am today. Damn if I'm just going to give it away to the so called poor." But I've been reading how the Rich is getting Poorer. There struggles won't get much sympathy from the poorer folks, at least not in the near future. Especially out of the struggling seniors and people depending on their social security checks from month to month. And those numbers are in the millions. That's not only dollars people that is the number in the population who depend on those checks to live day to day. With a fair amount of that being spent on health care and medications just to get through from one check to the other and the rest on bills and food to put on the table so they can eat and see at night to get to the bathroom if you understand what I mean.
Recent headlines say that Social Security checks are set to decrease in the next few years, in 2010 and 2011, due to the lower cost of energy prices and the negative inflation numbers. Meaning that we are no longer seeing inflation on the increasing side, but that consumer prices are lowering. DO WHAT? The Rich Talking Again, I can hear them. Tell me what is lower this year than last year? The price of oil? Most seniors and people on disability don't even drive, they have to depend on someone else to take them to their destination such as the doctor/pharmacy and or do their shopping for them. No not all of them, there are those who are still able to drive and do most things for themselves, but the majority need assistance in more ways than one. And cutting back on their monthly pay by not giving an increase is absolutely unacceptable. Don't wait until October (as that is when it is expected to be announced) for your voice to be heard get the message out now.

Hurricane Bill Hammering Maine
The late effects of Wild Bill hit seas in Maine and has kept the Coast Guard busy this day as rescues were needed for at least three people after the storm washed more than 20 people out to sea. Updates state that no one else is presumed missing at this point and the three people who were rescued each had sustained injuries and reported medical problems. Apparently one was a 7 year old girl who was unresponsive, the woman has a broken leg and the gentleman was experiencing heart related problems. Also the storm was responsible for the death of a 54 year old man Saturday, and others being treated for spinal injuries sustained from swimming along the coastal waters. Evidently there were thousands of spectators along the shores in Maine and Massachusetts checking out the massive erosion's of the shoreline and monstrous waves and rip tides.
People don't go out to gawk at 50 foot waves in a hurricane. You might not make it back if you get washed out to sea. It took a 40+ foot coast guard vessel to rescue some so you know they weren't just a few feet off the shore after getting swept out in the water. photo courtesy of kansascity.com/AP

Samantha Brown's Great Weekend

Think you need more than a weekend for a great escape, Samantha Brown says think again. They say if you enjoy something, then it's easier to write about. Well I sincerely enjoy watching this lady and her shows. I think you will too if you give'em a chance. She like Anthony Bourdain is down to earth and just a regular entertainer with her shows. Although she may seem a little preppy I don't think she is afraid of taking risk that shows a little of her wild side. This weekend she is in the Great Smoky Mountains trekking to the top of Mt. LeConte, white water rafting on the Nantahala River, and learning from some of her fellow campers over an evening by the campfire. For her and those of us that watch and only wish we were there this is a roughing it kinda weekend that you won't want to miss. Catch it tonight only on the Travel Channel @ 10:00pm E.T. photo courtesy of TC/optomen pdtns.

MJ Burial

Yet again Michael Jackson still not put to rest. According to web searches the King of Pop is still in the freezer. He was reportedly going to be buried on August 29th , in what would have been his 51st. birthday. Then it was rescheduled for the 31st but with school starting in the area on that day, it has been put off until September the 3rd.. http://www.celebrity-gossip.net/celebrities/hollywood/michael-jacksons-burial-delayedagain-217006/">Michael Jackson’s Burial Delayed…Again

War Still Raging On In Iraq

Most notably in Baghdad. A series of bombings Wednesday left hundreds wounded and at least 95 dead. Even though American troops began pulling out a couple of months ago the War Still Rages on. Like it or not, believe it or deny it, people are still dieing over there and Christopher Hill the U.S. Ambassador said it best when he told a New York Times reporter, "The whole thing is just disgusting." He went on to say that, "They're psychopathic." I tend to believe you Mr. Hill. He continues by claiming that what they really did was target the entire international community and Iraq's desire to become a part of that community. Apparently you could still see one body burning in a car while at least 12 others were piled on a pickup to be driven away. Let's hope there was no children killed in the blast. contibuted with nyt , photo courtesy of AP

It's Official

Brett Favre is now a Viking. Whew I thought he was going to be Chief or something? NOT! We knew all along that Brett wanted to play for the Vikings it was just a matter of when he would actually come out of retirement and sign on the dotted line. A deal reportedly worth somewhere around the 10 to 12 million dollar mark was all it took. I mean come on folks wouldn't you sign to play for the nations best running team? Don't you think that he will hand off more than pass, especially since they have Adrian Peterson an all pro running back. Anyway the saga is over now. And the big news will be all about them playing the Packers twice a year.
Quote of The Day from Time Magazine

Dolly Parton gets the reward for quote of the day!
"I know I'm a bit over exaggerated. I wear too much makeup, and too much hair." Dolly Parton who has acknowledged going to bed wearing makeup when in New York and California, because "anything could happen." Yeah I suppose your right Dolly, but It could happen anywhere even in Tennessee baby.

No Reservations

No reservations with Anthony Bourdain is like a plate full of knowledge in fine cuisine. Unless you prefer to stay home. Go traveling with this cat and get your gut full of the, "all this and still weigh less" bread and wine. Bourdain is the God of Travel and Food. Reminiscing about the past of his youth, of doing more than just sipping the drink and smoking lefties. Thailand must seem like a home brew full of yeast and sugar mixed in with a market of street cuisine, a few tailspin of prosperous adventures and his first exposure of life away from New Guinea. His hair is messed up by the way. Enjoy. Don't be mad AB. Love your show!

Who Will Self Destruct...CBS Says

That someone will self-destruct in the next few days and be removed from the house. I wonder? Will it be Natalie? Will it be Russell? I'm thinking that it will be Chima. Natalie and her have been nominated for eviction, and she at least appears to be the one, since she gave all the expletives during the end of the show tonight. Saying that the game is *+&@+* , her friends are *&%$**, and now she is *^$#**. So will she be the one to self-destruct? It could be Russell as he has had his share of self-destruction up to this point, having had several verbally heated outburst already. Or will we see one of the ones that have been quiet all along step up and make some noise. It will be interesting. Guess we will find out on the next episode Tuesday during the live show on cbs.com photo courtesy of cbs/bb
OH BROTHER....Big Brother

If your a fan of BB then you know a little about what's going on. If your not a fan, well you probably never have been and probably never will be. But with so few reality drama's going on right now Big Brother could be your fix. This is the time when the show starts to get interesting because the first few weeks have come and gone and alliances start to crumble and new ones begin to build. All the gals are shedding tears, drinking wine and reminiscing about Jesse's eviction last week. "They must think he turned water into wine," as Jeff said. Actually Jesse would have stabbed them in the back for $500,000.00. Wouldn't You? Russell is crapping in tall cotton having been removed from the block, and Chima is...well let's just say acting the HOH she was or wasn't. She doesn't have the power she thinks she does and more than likely will be the next to go home. Don't think we will see nearly as many tears shed if she does as what's being broadcast tonight. Somehow I think it's in the whine....No pun intended. Look for Natalie to break away and find another coat tail to grab on to. She definitely got this far only because of her alliance with Jesse. Stay tuned, more will be revealed. photo courtesy of cbs.com

Paula "Idol" Ab Duel?

The question is still out there, will Paula Abdul return to Idol? Some sources close to her claim that she is still within reach, possibly even willing to take less than the original 10 mil. that she claimed to be wanting. Now it appears, according to TMZ, that she is piiissed at the producers of "Ugly Betty" for leaking her name with the show. So with that said she apparently won't be seen in their upcoming episodes. Whatever that is. I don't even know what ugly betty is, I thought it was the nurse who wasn't actually a nurse but claimed to be, even throwing herself a huge party for nurse of the year. Memba her? I guess it is an actual show on TV. Not the nurse, Ugly Betty, oh well you know what I mean. I look for more info on the Duel of the Idol with and about Paula to surface this week as they have continued with auditions for the upcoming season. And I'm sure she doesn't want to continue to be left out if she truly does want to return to the show. But the show must go on. It is and will with or without Paula the Diva.

Top Pop to Deep Freeze..?

THRILLER: Michael Jackson has apparently gone from the King of Pop to the Deep Freeze as reported by some sources in L.A.. With the family supposedly at odds on his final resting place he is said to be in a deep freeze type of environment at the Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills cemetery, above ground. His brother Jermaine wants him to be buried at Neverland, a place his family said he despised after his arrest for molestation. Is this a ploy to confuse the possible would be grave robbers? Thriller!

Les Paul

LES PAUL Will Always Be Remembered......Long Live RockThe inventor of the solid body electric guitar has died. Les Paul passed away today at a White Plains Hospital in New York. He was 94 years old. He has been credited, and well deserved, with changing the way rock 'n' is played. In 1941 after messing around he came up with what is known as the 'log' with steel strings. Gibson went on to begin mass production of what is today the Gibson Les Paul Guitar. In 2005 Christies auction house sold a 1955 Gibson Les Paul for $45,000. The picture posted here is courtesy of guitarcrazy.com. It is a 1956 Gold Top reissue and is valued at nearly $8,000. Sure to increase I would think.

Walk Across America

On a recent google search for some travel tips and news, I came across Walk Across America by Peter Jenkins. At first I thought it was about Peter Jennings. Then right before scrolling on by, I realized I had read this book and have always been fascinated by the author and his journey. When I seen the name Cooper it brought back some insightful memories. Not only of the book, but of my own dog that I bonded with as a youngster. Cooper was Peter's dog. And he was more than just a dog, he was truly Peter's best friend and companion along this journey. The fascinating tale of this book has so much to do with the people that Peter & Cooper come to know and learn from as well as live with. Fresh from college in 1973 He set out on a journey that lasted 5 years. Beginning in Alford N.Y. and ending in Florence, Oregon 1979. Don't be deceived thinking it's a northern route as it is not. He first goes South and encounters the ways of the southern communities in the Carolina's, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi and so on.
I could go on about this book as it is a must read. It stayed on the N. Y. Times Best Sellers list (in hardback) for 3 months. It has went on to be one of the best selling books of all time. Even today it is a must required for some colleges.

Time Travel for Free.....

Wanna free ride back in time? That is if your old enough to remember Woodstock. This week celebrates 40 yrs. Possibly if not probably a time and event that changed the world and music. The likes of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Roger Daltrey, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and many more musicians gathered for what turned out to be a life changing experience for most. A time when the war was raging in Vietnam and the "flower child" was becoming a household phrase. A time when the simple mention of politics created violence and disillusion. When drugs were all but legal and war and Peace was the focus of many.
If you want to know more of how it happened and how the surrounding communities dealt with the onslaught of 450,000+ people who showed up to participate in one of the nations largest ever get together party events, you can go to http://www.woodstock69.com/ . Travel back in time, relive the event if you were old enough to have been there, or learn more about a spectacular concert that has practically proven to have shaped a nation. Miley Cyrus Pole Dances

Miley Cyrus taking lessons from Brittany Spears as a focus of criticism. Apparently her appearance at the teen choice awards wasn't something you might want to see your daughter do. Her pole-dancing performance was and has been the focus of tonight's show on Fox, who declined comment, but stated that it will be included into tonight's broadcast of the Teen Choice Awards. Less 'Hannah Montana" , More Miley!

Claire Elizabeth Fields Cruise..claims she's the mother of Michael Jackson's kids. TMZ reports there coming outta the woodwork. She claims that she is also married to Michael and that she is engaged to the Blankets' biological father. To me she seems high. But then again Michael was pretty weird too wasn't he? During the press conference she states the names of all the fathers and says she is on S.S. and can't afford to hire representation and that she can represent herself just fine. Oh and the Cruise part, she claims to be the mother of one of Tom Cruise's kids too. You gotta check out more at TMZ.com

Texting......Dirty Word.?

Almost sounds like a dirty word doesn't it? Well check this picture out. Seems like he tried to clean it all up here. Look Ma , No Hands! Apparently not only was this guy texting on one phone he was talking on another. All the while not paying attention to where he was going. He hit a parked car and went through the yard before landing in the pool. Now his Tow needs a Tow.

Paula vs. Idol

Nothing new to report. The word is still, $1o million will coax her back, though I really don't believe that she went anywhere. I think this coming week will tell the tale and that we should know soon enough. Kinda reminds me of the Green Bay vs. Brett Favre saga last year. Or was that the Vikings and Favre this year? Oh who knows. Don't do it Paula! Make'm pay! LOL . Her most recent Tweet (about an hour ago as of this post) was that of normal person if there is such a thing. She stated that she just got back from the gym and was going to go watch some of her favorite shows on Tivo , like CSI and Drop Dead Diva, whatever that is. I know what your saying. That if I was truly a Paula fan I would know that she was shooting on Drop Dead Diva in Atlanta yesterday.
Is it just me or...?
Am I the only one who seems to have a hard time with twitter? For some reason I really don't like their site. It seems like it's difficult to navigate at times and search etc.. Maybe I don't use it often enough to bash it too hard, but for as popular as it seems to be, I find it difficult to use. So I'd like your opinion. Do You like it or don't you? I'll have a poll with this post so if you would vote and tell us what you think. Scroll down to find the poll
Congratulations To The Winners
Sid Ehrenreich, Chris Denny and Rachel Scinta each won an IPhone at BigPrize Giveaways. Their blog site frequently gives away nice prizes in order to promote awareness for Starlike.com. Recently I was referred to their site by a friend on Facebook. It's easy to enter, just look for their post by adding them to your fans on Facebook or searching for their blog using google and entering each time they have free prizes to give. Chris won easily enough by referring the most people (only 59). May sound like a lot but some members on Facebook have a few hundred people in their friends list. Sid won randomly and since Rachel referred him she also got a new iphone. A few weeks ago they gave away 10 Dells in 10 Days. So I say check out their blog and who knows you may even win. For a complete list of the most recent winners go to blog.bigprize.com.

A woman practicing as a nurse in Connecticut is charged with pretending to be a nurse. Authorities say that, "Nurse Betty" was employed with a doctors office and doing so without a license. Get this, she even threw herself a party (in 2008) for Nurse of The Year using the name of an organization that doesn't even exist. She apparently used $2000.00 dollars of her own money to have the party. HELLO! Her employer, Dr. Gerald Weiss believed that Betty Lichtenstein was a registered nurse, especially after being awarded nurse of the year by the Connecticut Nursing Association. The company that doesn't exist. How did she pull this off? Well the lack of a proper background and reference check would have to be the first clue. The states Medicaid Fraud Control Unit uncovered the scheme after complaints began coming in about her inappropriate behavior. She was arrested on a number of charges on Thursday and faces up to five years in prison if convicted. According to her attorney she will be tried on an insanity defense. Do you think? Hey let's Party I'm Nurse of The Year. Take a few of these while your here, sit down let me take your pulse and I'll even check your blood pressure. Turn your head and cough. Oh wait that's the doctor's job. Maybe his license needs checked too.
Rumor IS 10 Mil. IS The Magic Number
TMZ reports the rumor is for 10 million a yr. Paula Abdul will return to Idol. If "idol" antes
up the door isn't closed. Is it all a publicity stunt? Or Reality TV? Or is she worth 10 smackaroonies? I'll give her 40 goats and 20 cows, ( see my previous post), for her hand in marriage. Come on Paula it'll work out happily ever after. We'll even read the intestines of the slaughter to be sure. You wouldn't want me to have to give those goats back!

Man Offers 40 Goats, 20 Cows for Chelsea Clinton

Hilarious but true. A Kenya man has offered 40 goats and 20 cows for the Clinton's daughter's hand in marriage. This happened back in 2000. As a tradition of the African Nation it is customary to make such offers for ones daughter, even long before they are old enough to marry. "Very kind offer", according to Hillary Clinton, while being asked if they had made a decision on the dowry offer. Much to the laughter of the attendees at a town hall meeting in Kenya on Thursday, Clinton said that her daughter was her own person and she will convey the message. She denies reports that Chelsea will marry later this summer.
Come on people send me some more goats and cows in my Farm town Zynga Game...LOL

GOODBYE RONNIE....or GOOD RIDDANCE
The so called Rat of Big Brother season 12, Ronnie is out. And he went out with a bang by hammering Michelle. Ronnie called her the worst case of a human being he has ever seen or been around. Kinda strange coming from a so called rat of the house. So is it goodbye or good riddance? I say both.
On another note, Jeff won the COUP D'ETAT, a special power that has to be used within the next vote off. It gives him the power to over throw the Head of Household (HOH) and put up whomever he wants in their place. In other words he can even put up the present HOH and they could be voted off next week. It will be interesting because his alliance doesn't jive with Chima the current HOH.

Don't Forget
Don't forget to scroll down and vote on Paula's return. I'd like to know what you think.
FOX Auditions other possible Foxy's..Paula Out
They say she won''t be back!

It appears Fox and their American Idol executives are moving on without Paula Abdul. And they seem to be OK with it by auditioning other possible judges.
"It's over. No question. It's over." say execs.
Apparently, according to their website they are being inundated with interested applicants and will use them in their upcoming contestant auditions that begin Friday in Denver.
Check out other sites and blogs for the latest info. It seems that a lot of people are not only not going to watch because of Paula's absence, but because of the return of Kara what's her name. DioGuardi. Personally I'd like to see Paula return and watched the show mainly to see her and her antics with Simon Cowell. I would gladly say sayonara to Kara.

Will She Be Back
Paula Abdul ?

Is Paula Abdul really quitting Idol? She says she is. At least her twitter site states this. Today she tweeted that it saddens her that she will no longer be a part of a number 1 international phenomenon that she helped create from day one.
She also wants to thank everyone for all the enormous love and support that has been showered upon her, especially over the past month.
Is this the last of her or is this a contract ploy? If it is adios for the beloved Paula then she will surely be missed. I personally don't think the show will be the same without her. At least my interest will diminish for the most part. I've so enjoyed watching Paula and her antics with Simon Cowell. Let's hope there is more to come and that she will be paid what she is worth to the show like Seacrest and Cowell. Good Luck Paula!

What A Tradgedy
What a Tragedy. A Boise Idaho coroner identified the body found yesterday in a canal to be that of an 8 yr. old boy who has been missing. His name is Robert Manwill. There's talk of a serial killer on the loose, and or the possibility of a tragic accident.
No matter the outcome of either, it is inappropriate for us as a nation to NOT be more accountable for our children. Those who have kids and those who live by or raise or see them on a daily basis. No matter! What is up with our nation that can put billions of dollars into "cash for clunkers" or send X amount of dollars to other countries, when we can't seem to place it where it is needed. Needed in places like child protective services. Everyday we hear of another child who has been abused, abducted, or one that is now missing. In nearly all of these cases child protective services, SRS, or local agencies have had some prior involvement and then this. Come on America, stand up as a nation and have a voice for our children. Children who have no idea how to protect themselves from abuse. Put MORE money in our communities and agencies that can provide better protection for our kids......Let's not continue to read about the Robert's, Caylee's, and Haleigh's.

Expect Battles
With new head coach Todd Haley the team can expect some battling for position. His regiment training camp conditioning requirements must be met before each player can perform with the team.
Some of the projected starters, such as LG Brian Waters, RG Mike Goff, RT Damion McIntosh, and NT Ron Edwards were placed on the NFI list.
"Conditioning in my mind and our staffs mind is an important factor in helping you win games." That's something we've stressed since day one and will continue to stress all through the season."

Matt Cassel---Chiefs New QB
During the press conference today Matt Cassel was asked by Len Dawson, "How much would you pay to get that number 16 jersey back?"(Dawson wore number 16 as a chief and now the number is retired and Cassel wore that number as a patriot with New England)
Cassel was cool in his response stating, "I don't want to touch that one. There's way too much history behind that number." I thought that was a nice response as well. Matt showing much respect not only for a great player in Dawson but for his new team as well. Way to go Matt!
