Everyone, including those of future generations, has a right to a clean, productive natural environment. Having been raised on a farm taught me the importance of a fresh healthy product. Today it has become less and less important except for those who have turned to Green Living. We purchase so many things for single use. Remember when the milk man left the glass bottle on your step? Probably not, but I bet you do remember the last time you threw out a plastic jug used for milk, pop or water.
Speaking of water, it's a great way to start saving money and go green at the same time. Do a web search and you can find anything from dual flush toilets, faucet aerators, to low-flow showerheads. Shower water use can be reduced 50% with a low-flow showerhead, and can save up to 20,000 gallons of water per year. How big is your family? Low-Flow toilets can also amount to a huge savings not only in water but you won't be flushing your money as well. Any green Eco living attempt is an attempt to improve our environment and our quality of life.
Check toilet tanks--add a few drops of food coloring into the tank. If the toilet is leaking, color will appear in the water in the bowl within 30 minutes. Install a dual flush kit device in the toilet tank. This will cut down on the amount of water needed per flush.
I know there are some who will think outside the box and come up with other ideas to save. The quality of human life depends on our living lives of purpose and meaning. Next time you flush think about it. Just saying.
