Don't Tweet Your Site Link If Your ...
Don't tweet your site link on Twitter if your just driving traffic to your site for the sake of numbers.
How many times have you clicked on a link and thoroughly read the post of that tweeted link and it didn't really say anything? Unless your single, in your favorite club or at a nudist camp, no one wants to be hung. Often I've clicked on links thinking I am going to get this great message about how to grow traffic to my website or blog, increase my twitter followers or improve my rankings only to be left with WTF was that about anyway.
In most all of these links from: @Iamyournumber1answertoyoursuccess I find at least one or two good little bites of info that usually leaves me wanting more yet still pisses me off. Most of these impostor posters truly want to succeed and get you to come back again and again but do they? If not why? I know why I return to my favorite blogs/websites and it is always because I got pumped. Believe me I am not hung. And I don't need your help hanging me. I'm perfectly satisfied with what I got. There are times when I would like to have a little more and not be pissed or dissatisfied. No more quickies OK?
However I am learning a great deal from these folks and most importantly, I'm learning what not to do by following some of their suggestions. If your going to put me up a tree and throw stones at me at least get me down. In other words have a topic with a beginning, share the problem and give a solution.
If your an aspiring writer or blogger it doesn't matter, you must have a passion for what your writing about. You must have patience and grab the reader by the [balls] but you also need to find the solution and let go. Let me go, get me down and stop leaving me screaming and hanging dammit!
